Latest supramax takes Diligent fleet into double digits

Greece’s Diligent Holdings expansion course continues. The Athens-based company has just added its 10th ship, the 58,000 dwt TC Gold (built 2011), slapping $16m on the table for the ship, brokers tell Splash.

The pure breed bulker player has catapulted from a single-ship outfit a little more than two years ago to a mid-size entity with a fleet now in double digits.

VesselsValue data shows that its last two purchases were the 58,000 dwt Pollux Star (2012), bought for $17.5m, and the same sized Nonna Ulia (2010-built), for $14m. These ships were added earlier this year. The Nonna Ulia, now renamed Charisma, was Diligent’s first supramax.
