Two Danish shipping mammoths have done a rare deal in their favourite sector.
Mads Peter Zacho-led J Lauritzen has offloaded three nine-year-old, 33,000 dwt bulkers, the Sentosa Bulker, Emilie Bulker and Orchard Bulker, brokers sources tell Splash. No price is attached to the deal, however VesselsValue indicates a price of $8.18m per ship.
J Lauritzen has been selling ships lately while the taker of the ships, Peter Norborg-led Clipper Group, has not added ships in years as it fought financially tough times.
