Legal fallout from OW Bunker bankruptcy rising

Singapore: The fallout from the dramatic bankruptcy of OW Bunker last week is just beginning with lawyers to the fore scrambling for cash.

Hin Leong Trading, Singapore’s biggest independent oil trader, managed to get the 2,800-dwt bunker tanker Laguna arrested yesterday. The vessel had been chartered by OW Bunker.

Hin Leong is seeking S$1.67m from OW Bunker Far East.

Sources in Singapore tell SeaShip News a raft of other claimants are preparing cases against OW Bunker and its subsidiaries including Dynamic Oil Trading.  [12/11/14]
