Lianyungang Port strengthens logistics ties with Kazakhstan

Shanghai: Following a container transit agreement signed last year, Lianyungang Port and Kazakhstan National Railway Company have signed another agreement to further strengthen logistics ties.

Under the agreement, the two companies will jointly establish a joint venture to operate a logistics terminal which will be built with RMB600m investment. The joint venture will be dedicated to services include intermodal container shipping and warehousing.

Lianyungang Port has completed a historical high international transit container volume of 106,000teu in 2013 thanks to the rail link between Lianyungang and Kazakhstan. [15/01/14]
