Cairo: Libyan authorities are preparing to remove protesters who have been in control of vital ports in the east of the country, the prime minister, Ali Zeidan, has said.
"In the next days we're about to clear the ports of the protesters unless they leave them," Zeidan said on a local TV channel, without specifying how or whether force would be used.
The three ports in question together account for around 600,000 barrels of oil exports a day when fully functioning. [21/01/14]
