Liodden quits Nor-Shipping

Birgit Liodden has quit Nor-Shipping and the Norway Trade Fair to pursue new opportunities having been in charge of the show for just one event.

She commented in a release yesterday: “Shipping is where my heart lies, and I now felt the need to spend time developing my own competence in areas I consider to be critical, and where I can continue to use my voice.”

Among her plans for the future Liodden will work with a Norwegian environmental NGO on emission reductions in shipping.

Per Martin Tanggaard, who previously held the role as exhibition director, is now taking over as director for Nor-Shipping.

Nor-Shipping, one of the most famous events on the busy maritime calendar, is expanding overseas for the first time this year with an event in Copenhagen in the autumn.
