Liquidators appointed at Mercator Lines

The Singapore dry bulk offshoot of India’s Mercator Group has appointed liquidators Yit Chee Wah and Joshua James Taylor today to wind up the company.

Mercator Lines (Singapore) went into judicial management in January last year with debts of more than $165m, and sold of its fleet to pay back creditors.

The judicial manager explored a potential restructuring, however last month sought to wind up the company.
