Livestock carrier pair for Cosco Guangdong

Guangzhou: Cosco Guangdong Shipyard has won an order from an unspecified European owner to build two 4,500 sq m livestock carriers. The pair will cost just over $57m, parent Cosco Corporation said in a release to the Singapore Stock Exchange.

The ships will deliver in the latter half of next year.

The owner is thought to be Vroon, which took delivery of the fourth and final livestock carrier it ordered at the same yard two months ago.  [17/02/14]
