Bangkok: An empty LPG tanker ship caught fire Sunday morning off the deepsea port in Ao Makham. The fire on the Thai-registered 80 m long LPG carrier Kantika, owned by Ayudhya Public Co, apparently started in the communications room, because of faulty wiring.
The Marine Department and the Royal Thai Navy were deployed and the fire was put out within three hours. [08/10/12]
