Singapore: Lucien Wong, chairman of local law firm Allen & Gledhill, has been appointed by the Minister for Transport, Lui Tuck Yew, as chairman of the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA).
New members have also been named. All appointments are effective from the start of February. New members include Carl Krogh Arnet, ceo of BW Offshore and Kam Soon Huat, the general secretary of the Singapore Organisation of Seamen. Three board members are stepping down.
The MPA board is responsible for providing strategic direction to help develop and promote Singapore as a global hub port and an international maritime centre. [30/01/15]
