M-Maritime orders two handysizes at Saiki Heavy Industries

Greek owner M-Maritime continues to expand its fleet, ordering a pair of 37,000 dwt handysize bulkers at Japanese yard Saiki Heavy Industries.

The price for each vessel is $20m and delivery is scheduled in 2019.

M-Maritime acquired its first vessel at the end of 2016, and has acquired several secondhand bulkers since. The company also has another two handysize newbuildings under construction at Japan’s Hakodate Shipyard.
