Maersk Drilling awarded North Thekah contract by Edison

Maersk Drilling has been awarded a contract by Italy’s Edison E&P for 2009-built semi-submersible rig Maersk Discoverer.

The contract is for the drilling of a single well in the North Thekah gas field in the Mediterranean, and includes an option for a further well.

Work is scheduled to commence in the fourth quarter of 2019.

Grant Rowles

Grant spent nine years at Informa Group based in London, Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore.
