Maersk Drilling is reactivating jackup rig Maersk Reacher for a new two-year contract with Aker BP in the Norwegian North Sea.
for a new two-year contract with Aker BP in the Norwegian North Sea.The rig will be deployed in October as an accommodation rig, with an option included for the repurposing of the rig for plugging & abandonment in the final six months of the contract.
The contract is part of the alliance formed between the two companies in November 2017.

Maersk Reacher is currently warm stacked in Invergordon, Scotland and will be deployed for Aker BP at the Valhall East field.
