Maersk Drilling semi-submersible awarded Timor-Leste contract by Eni

Maersk Drilling has been awarded a one-well contract by Eni for 2009-built semi-submersible rig Maersk Deliverer for exploration drilling offshore Timor-Leste in the Timor Sea.

The contract commences in March 2019 and is expected to take two months, and Eni has an option available for an additional well which would extend the contract by a further two months.

Morten Kelstrup, CCIO at Maersk Drilling, commented: “We are very pleased to contribute to Eni’s exploration programme. This is a great opportunity for Mærsk Deliverer.”

The rig has been warm-stacked in Labuan since coming off contract in March.
