Maersk Oil and Gas extends charter of Jacktel rig

Maersk Oil and Gas has extended its current contract on the accommodation jack-up rig Haven, which is owned by Master Marine’s subsidiary Jacktel. The two-month extension is valued at some $4.5m.

The rig is currently deployed in the Danish sector of the North Sea and began its initial six-month contract with Maersk in early October 2015.

At the time it was signed in July last year, the firm period of the contract was valued at $14m for up to 150 company onboard personnel. The contract included the option for Maersk to use more than 150 beds, for which an incremental premium would be paid per extra bed.
