Maestro Shipping takes Mitsubishi handy bulker

Japanese owner Mitsubishi Corporation continues to downsize its bulker fleet, having sold its 2014-built handysize bulker Sagittarius Ocean.

According to shipbroking sources, the Onomichi-built 37,000 dwt bulker was sold to Swiss company Maestro Shipping for $14.6m.

Mitsubishi Corporation sold a total of 12 vessels in 2018, made up of eight bulkers and four tankers.

Maestro Shipping recently sold 1999-built 31,800 dwt handy bulker Maestro Lion to Greek interests. The company currently operates a fleet of 11 vessels comprising of three bulkers two roro vessels and six reefers.
