Magseis Fairfield appoints new CEO

Seismic specialist Magseis Fairfield has appointed Carel Hooijkaas as chief executive officer, replacing Per Christian Grytnes from October 1.

Hooijkaas joins from Schlumberger and has over 25 years experience in the oilfield services sector.

Charles Davison, chairman of Magseis Fairfield, commented “We are pleased to welcome Carel Hooijkaas as the new Chief Executive Officer of Magseis Fairfield ASA. Carel’s extensive industry experience and track record of value creation in our specific industry segment make him the perfect fit for Magseis Fairfield as we enter the next phase of growth”.

Magseis acquired the seismic technologies business from Fairfield in October 2018, forming Magseis Fairfield.

“Per Christian leadership has been instrumental in combining our two companies Magseis ASA and Fairfield Geotechnologies, creating an ocean bottom seismic leader. We thank him for his leadership and personal commitment over the last two years since he joined the company,” Davidson added.
