Maiden calls to Singapore jump

Singapore: Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean said at yesterday’s official opening of its second cruise terminal that the city state expects a total of 11 maiden calls this year, up from three in 2011.

"Cruise tourism is a sector where we see potential for ASEAN to jointly market ourselves to the world. Together, we can create a winning product that will appeal to transports and bring economic benefits to all our countries," said Teo at the brand new Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore. [23/10/12]
