Beijing: Mainland China is going to update policies to promote the development of cross-strait direct shipping, He Jianzhong, deputy director of the Ministry of Transport said.
The policies will include: to increase the support on both mainland and Taiwan-invested cruise companies, to provide special training class for Taiwanese crew, and to launch a container freight rate index for the Taiwan Strait for better development of container shipping.
