Doha: Maran Nakilat, the LNG joint venture between Angelicoussis Shipping Group of Greece and Qatar’s Nakilat, has bought three LNG carriers, taking its fleet to 11 ships.
The joint venture has also sealed refinancing of $807.4m provided by Qatar Islamic Bank and Barwa Bank.
The expanded fleet of 11 vessels now has a cumulative capacity of 1.7m cu m. In June 2013 Nakilat also increased its ownership of the joint venture from 30% to 40%. [24/04/14]
