Martin Crawford-Brunt appointed new RightShip CEO

Melbourne-based online vetting company RightShip has appointed Martin Crawford-Brunt as its new CEO, replacing Warwick Norman who announced last February he would be stepping down.

Crawford-Brunt moves from DNV GL and will take up is new role in March, initially from London.

Peter Mannion, chairman of RightShip and GM marine operations at Rio Tinto, commented: “Martin Crawford-Brunt is a highly respected and effective leader and the perfect candidate to lead RightShip through its next phase. We have been looking for a candidate who has the industry knowledge that will help us grow, as well as the personal attributes to lead and inspire a global team. I am confident that Martin possesses the right mix of maritime industry experience, management and leadership skills to continue the outstanding contribution made by Warwick Norman over the last 16 years.”

Norman will continue to support RightShip as a strategic consultant during the transition to ensure business continuity.

Grant Rowles

Grant spent nine years at Informa Group based in London, Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore. He gained strong management experience in publishing, conferences and awards schemes in the shipping and legal areas, working on a number of titles including Lloyd's List. In 2009 Grant joined Seatrade responsible for the commercial development of Seatrade’s Asia products. In 2012, with Sam Chambers, he co-founded Asia Shipping Media.
