McDermott awarded Umm Shaif FEED contract by ADNOC

Houston-based McDermott International has been awarded a contract by ADNOC to provide FEED services on a design-competition basis for phase one of the Umm Shaif Gas Cap Condensate Development Project in Abu Dhabi.

The work scope also includes the preparation of an EPCI proposal reflecting the design of the offshore facilities developed through the FEED work.

Linh Austin, senior VP Middle East and North Africa for McDermott, commented: “This award reflects the market’s recognition that McDermott is well qualified to provide execution-focused engineering design services to clients. Our extensive EPCI experience allows us to deliver technically robust engineering design to clients as a ‘one-stop-shop’ on a global scale.”

McDermott describes the contract as sizeable which puts it in the bracket of between $1m and $50m.
