Meadway founder passes away

The founder of Meadway Shipping passed away unexpectedly yesterday morning.

Dionysios Dellaportas founded Meadway in 1988. European shipping database Equasis lists Meadway today with a fleet of eight bulkers. Based in Glyfada on the outskirts of Athens, Meadway is also a third party shipmanager. The company also has offices in Singapore and Dubai.

“Those of us who were fortunate to know Mr Dellaportas were blessed by his joie de vivre, caring nature and enduring legacy,” the company stated in an announcement yesterday.
