Mermaid Maritime awarded $7.4m worth of new contracts

Thailand’s Mermaid Maritime has been awarded subsea contracts in both the Middle East and South East Asia worth a total of $7.4m.

In the Middle East, Mermaid was awarded a contract, commencing in the third quarter, involving use of an air dive system and a light work-class ROV carrying out air diving and ROV services. The contract is expected to take around nine months.

In South East Asia, the company has been awarded a contract utilising its offshore diving, survey, ROV and deck crew and a third party chartered-in vessel to carry out the offshore installation of a 2,000m subsea Manuli hose. The contract also commences in the third quarter and is expected to take around 45 days.

Grant Rowles

Grant spent nine years at Informa Group based in London, Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore. He gained strong management experience in publishing, conferences and awards schemes in the shipping and legal areas, working on a number of titles including Lloyd's List.
