Mermaid Maritime awarded two more subsea contracts

Thailand’s Mermaid Maritime has been awarded a pair of subsea contracts from oil majors with a combined value of around $4.3m.

Dive support vessel Mermaid Sapphire with a work class ROV is performing a 16-day lump sum project involving subsea pipeline freespan rectification in the Gulf of Thailand.

Additionally, Mermaid has also won a 2-year contract in Indonesia carrying out site survey and navigation services offshore East Kalimantan using either the client’s or third party chartered-in vessel.

Last month, Mermaid announced that it had secured contracts during the first quarter of 2017 worth up to $26m.
