Mixed fortunes for aframaxes

With sentiment weakening towards aframaxes it has been a mixed bag of fortune for owners in the sector of later.

Brokers report the Varun Shipping controlled Ocean Mare has failed on subjects to Eurotankers at $27m.

However, Sinokor was able to offload the 1999-built Pacific London aframax to unspecified Indonesia buyers for $15m, a price deemed strong given the darkened mood in the sector.
