MOL orders newcastlemax pair at Imabari

Japanese shipping major Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) has ordered two 240,000 dwt newcastlemax bulk carriers at domestic yard Imabari Shipbuilding, according to shipbroking sources.

The financial details of the order were not disclosed nor the delivery dates.

MOL currently has another two newcastlemaxes under construction at Imabari, with deliveries scheduled this year and next year.

MOL currently controls a bulker fleet of 71 bulkers with a further nine bulker newbuildings on order.
