Oslo: Odfjell has announced that incoming ceo/president Kristian Verner Mørch will start with the company on August 1.
Mørch, who replaces Tore Jakobsen, was appointed in May. A Danish citizen, Mørch worked in various management positions in over 20 years at A.P. Moller-Maersk, most notably coo of Maersk Tankers, before he joined Clipper Group in 2011.
“We are very pleased to have Kristian Mørch to lead Odfjell SE. His extensive industry experience together with excellent personal capabilities and leadership skills makes him the ideal candidate to further develop the company,” said Odfjell chairman, Laurence Odfjell, commenting on the appointment in May.
Mørch will concurrently step down from his role as a board director, which he has held since May 2014.
