More work for Eneti’s Seajacks vessels

Monaco-based owner and operator of offshore wind vessels Eneti announced that its subsidiary Seajacks has landed new contracts and extensions for its self-propelled jackup vessels.

Two new contracts worth between $5.7m and $7.1m have been secured for one of the NG2500-class vessels. The work is in Northwest Europe and will keep the unit busy for 75 to 102 days.

In addition to contract awards, further extensions were negotiated for another NG2500-class vessel, which will boost revenue by €2.9m.

“The higher rates achieved for our NG2500-class vessels reflect the rising demand for these assets, and the evolution from seasonal employment to year-round opportunities,” said Emanuele Lauro, Eneti’s chairman and CEO.

Eneti also sealed an extension of its existing contract for its NG14000X-class vessel, adding an additional €2.6m in revenue.

The New York-listed company owns a fleet of five WTIVs and has two NG16000X-class WTIVs currently under construction at DSME in South Korea.
