Germany’s MPC Container Ships has raised a further $50m via a private placement, money it says will be used to acquire more ships.
Last month, MPC snapped up three vessels to take its container feeder fleet to 68 vessels and is well on track to reach its stated goal of over 100 ships.
This latest fundraiser comes as MPC reaches the final stages of concluding several new vessel acquisitions at what it claims to be attractive prices.
