Nanchang invests in new cargo terminal

Shanghai: Nanchang port, a major inland river port in southern China, is planning to build a new terminal for cargo transport.

The new project will start construction in December, with a total investment of RMB437m, and will be completed within 24 months.

The new terminal will include two 2,000 tons-class liquid cargo berths, plus another two berth options.

The move is in line with China’s new initiatives to upgrade inland river transport facilities and enlarge the river transport network. [24/11/14]
