Nanjing Tanker orders product tanker pair at GSI

Nanjing Tanker, an oil shipping unit of Sinotrans & CSC, has selected CSSC-affiliated Guangzhou Shipyard International (GSI) for the construction of two 49,700 dwt product tankers as part of a tender for the contract.

GSI won the tender over other sister yards including Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding and Jiangnan Shipyard.

According to the tender document, the construction period is about 730 days. An official contract has yet to be signed.

Earlier this month, Nanjing Tanker received approval from Shanghai Stock Exchange to relist its stock, four years after it was delisted from the stock exchange.
