Nantong Mingde bags orders for 13 vessels

Shanghai: Nantong Mingde Heavy Industry announced that it has signed shipbuilding contracts with a European owner for the construction of seven 24,600dwt stainless steel chemical tankers with another four options. On the same day, it also signed with a Hong Kong owner for two 64,000dwt bulk carriers.

Mingde said it is currently in negotiations for a number of shipbuilding contracts for chemical tankers and it expects to become the top shipbuilder for stainless chemical tankers in the world this year in terms of order volume and order value. [09/04/14]
