NAT chairman increases his shareholding

Chairman and CEO of Nordic American Tankers (NAT) Herbjorn Hansson and his son Alexander have bought $1.4m worth of stock (100,000 shares) in NAT through a third-party company owned by the family.

In March this year, the Hansson-owned company bought a tranche of 50,000 shares in NAT and another 50,000 shares in its sister company Nordic American Offshore in an effort to reassure shareholders.

The Hansson family is one of NAT’s largest shareholders.
