Navigare Capital sells five-year-old boxship to D Oltmann Reederei

Denmark’s Navigare Capital Partners has sold its youngest containership to German shipowner D Oltmann Reederei.

The Copenhagen-based alternative investment fund manager, which has containers, bulkers, tankers, gas carriers and offshore wind support vessels in its portfolio, confirmed the sale and delivery of the 2018-built Navigare Collector for an undisclosed price tag.

VesselsValue estimates the 10,100 teu boxship, Navigare Capital picked up as a resale for a reported $70m, to be worth $72.5m. The vessel also comes with a charter to Japan’s Ocean Network Express (ONE) and will be the largest and youngest in D Oltmann’s fleet of eight owned ships.

Following the sale, Navigare Capital has five boxships, with investments in six 2,700 teu vessels under construction at Guangzhou Huangpu Shipbuilding.
