Within days of raising $30m for new vessels, Angeliki Frangou’s Navios Maritime Containers has completed the acquisition of a 2010-built 4,250 teu containership.
Navios Containers paid $11.78m for the panama boxship, which will be renamed Navios Dorado, financed with cash and $6m of bank debt.
The vessel has been chartered out at $10,468 per day until April/July 2019.
The Navios Containers fleet hit 20 vessels at the end of 2017 when it acquired four panamaxes.
