Navios Maritime Containers fleet hits 20 with completion of latest acquisition

Navios Maritime Containers has completed the acquisition of four 2008-built panamax containerships for $96.8m.

The four 4,730 teu vessels are currently employed on charters through to 2020 at a daily rate of $27,156, generating Navios around $70m of EBITDA.

Navios financed the acquisition with the proceeds from its recently completed $50m private placement and $50m of bank debt.

The new additions takes the Navios Containers fleet to 20 vessels totalling 84,520 teu and a current average age of 9.8 years.
