New berth opens at King Abdullah Port

Doha: Ports Development Company, owner and developer of King Abdullah Port, has handed over the brand new third berth at the port to National Container Company.

The third berth is 1,150 m long and has a depth alongside of 18 m and the largest cranes available to handle the latest, largest boxships afloat.

King Abdullah Port is the first port being developed and managed by the private sector in Saudi Arabia. Its annual container handling capacity now stands at 1.6m teu.  [24/11/14]
