New HCM port investing in infrastructure

 

Ho Chi Minh City: Cargotec received an order to supply four Kalmar E-One2 Zero Emission RTG cranes to a new port in Vietnam’s Phu Huu Ward Dist 9, Ho Chi Minh City.
 
The port, which is owned by International Transportation and Trading Joint Stock Company (ITC Corp), is currently undergoing its first construction phase to enable the handling of vessels of up to 2,000 teu and 36,000 dwt.
 
The four RTGs are scheduled to be delivered in the first quarter of 2013.
 
The construction of ITC Corp’s new $180m Phu Huu Ward Port began in 2010. The first phase of construction, including the build of a 600 mquay wall, is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2013.  [02/10/12]
