Hong Kong: John Rowley, who has headed up British classification Lloyd’s Register’s Asian operations out of Hong Kong since 2009, has been appointed managing director of LR Management Systems. Rowley, who will be based in Hong Kong and London, is repositioning the management systems business to diversify the service portfolio, LR said in a release.
Richard Sadler, LR ceo, said, “John has an excellent track record of delivering sustainable profitable growth and his strategic insight and strong leadership make him ideal to lead the next phase of the Management Systems business journey.”
Rowley's position as Asia-Pacific boss has been taken by Paul Phyall, who is based in Singapore and has been with LR since 1993. [24/07/14]
