Shanghai: China’s Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries (ZPMC) has signed a newbuilding contract for a coastal supply vessel, Red Class 6027, with DP3 specification, measuring 142.9 m in length with Ultra Deep Solutions of Singapore.
The contract value comes at around $200m and comes with an option for one more. The delivery date is planned in 2017. The order marks another important step in ZPMC’s bid to diversify into more high tech offshore construction.
