Ningbo Marine sends more vessels to scrap

Chinese bulker operator Ningbo Marine Ningbo Marine has sold its 1986-built 26,900 dwt handysize bulker Fu Xing 12 to individual buyer Liu Tianyan as a scrap vessel for a price of RMB17m ($2.45m) as part of its fleet optimisation plan.

Last month, the company also sold the 1986-built handysize bulker Mingzhou 6 for demolition.

Ningbo Marine said it is in the process of selling another three 1986-built bulkers, Fu Xing 10, Fu Xing 15 and Fu Xing 16.

All the three vessels are owned by Zhejiang Fuxing Shipping, which were integrated into Ningbo Marine as a subsidiary after Ningbo Marine acquired all the shipping assets from its controlling shareholder Zhejiang Energy Group in a restructuring.
