Shanghai: Ningbo Shipping Exchange officially started operation on Tuesday. It was registered in 2011 and invested by Ningbo government, Ningbo Bonded Zone and Daxie Development Zone.
Ningbo Shipping Exchange is formed by three platforms including shipping information, shipping exchange and shipping services, and serves five markets including ship trading, shipping recruitment, container space trading, chemical tanker chartering and shipping finance.
“The establishment of Ningbo Shipping Exchange will further standardize the shipping market and complete the shipping service system, and will eventually increase competitiveness of Ningbo port,” said an official from the Ningbo Shipping Exchange. [20/09/12]
