Ningbo splashes RMB4bn in rail-sea intermodal transport

Shanghai: Ningbo port is planning to invest RMB4bn in the construction of a rail-sea intermodal transport project next year.

The port will also set up an integrated transport information platform and provide more specific supply chain services to shippers, according to Xu Huajiang, chairman of Ningbo Port Group.

Ningbo port currently operates 233 containers routes, including 116 ocean routes. The port completed 16.77m teu in throughput last year. [04/12/14]
