Ningbo-Zhoushan builds 400,000dwt channel

Shanghai: China’s deepest artificial channel, Ningbo-Zhoushan port’s Sheyimen 400,000dwt class channel has started construction and is scheduled to be completed in the first half of 2015, according to the Ministry of Transport.

Foreign trade volumes of iron ore in the Yangtze river delta will reach 230m tons by 2015, and Zhoushan will build a 410,000dwt super large iron ore terminal with an annual handling capacity of 50m tons. [03/01/14]
