Nisshin close to selling another bulker

One of Japan’s top sellers so far this year, Nisshin Shipping, is back in the secondhand market.

Nisshin is attempting to offload a nine-year-old panamax bulker, the Billion Trader 1, for $9.5m, a firm price as online portal VesselsValue.com values the ship $0.4m less. A deal is still waiting approval, sources report.

Nisshin-owned bulkers filled up brokers reports in the first two months of the year as the outfit sold close to 10 bulkers in January and February. The Japanese owner has some 60 ships listed in its fleet, the majority of these are bulk carriers.
