Nisshin offloads more

Nisshin Shipping’s rapid dry bulk sale fleet continues. This week brokers report that the Japanese firm has offloaded two more ships.

In February Splash reported that the active seller was in negotiations to sell a 15-year-old panamax, the 76,000 dwt Medi Kobe, to Chinese buyers for $2.7m, a record low price at the time. The sale failed and now its  gone for slightly less, $2.65m to Chinese buyers who  have also taken the  one year  older and slightly smaller  74,000 dwt Washington Trader for an undisclosed price. Nisshin is approaching ten bulkers sold so far this year.
