Noble Corporation awarded drillship contract extension by Esso

Offshore drilling contractor Noble Corporation has been awarded a contract extension by Esso for its drillship Noble Tom Madden, according to the company’s latest fleet status report.

The latest extension will see the rig continue to work with Esso in Guyana until December 2018 after the current contract expires in October.

Noble currently operates a fleet of 27 offshore drilling units, consisting of 14 drillships and semi-submersibles and 13 jackups.
