Noble secures drillship contract from Total

Noble Corporation has secured a contract from French energy major Total for its drillship Noble Globetrotter II.

The contract is for one well off Bulgaria and will last approximately 100 days from late September to late December.

The rate of the contract was not disclosed, however in addition to the day rate Noble will continue to receive a $185,000 per day idle rate from Shell who exercised its right to idle the drillship for a period of up to 730 days from January 2017.
