Nordic Hamburg adds boxship pair at Huangpu Wenchong

Clarksons Research is reporting that Nordic Hamburg has returned to Huangpu Wenchong in China for more boxships. The German line has ordered two more dual fuel 1,400 teu ships, which will go on charter to Finland’s Containerships. This latest pair will deliver in the first half of 2020 and brings the series Nordic Hamburg has on order at the yard to six. No price has been identified for this latest ship order.

Founded in 2006 by Rowil Ponta and Richard Grube, Nordic Hamburg today has a fleet of small boxships as well as a strong dry bulk portfolio with ships ranging in size from 35,000 dwt to 57,000 dwt.
